BeamClamps to secure bridge structure
BeamClamp Types BA and BB were used in assemblies of four bolt connections to secure the main steelwork structure together for the State Street Bridge. The connections allowed the support beams to be delivered to site in manageable lengths that were then joined together on site. The BeamClamp system allowed for on site adjustability and required no drilling or welding of the steel on site. All that was required was the dimensions of the steel and the loading requirements, the rest was taken care of by our design team as part of our service. The parts to make each connection including the location plate were delivered as single connections with a drawing showing how to assemble each one. All that was then required was for the installers to apply the specified torque and a flexible connection with a 5 to 1 Factor of Safety was made.
